July is over

Sorry I took so long to update my all-encompassing July photo! I have been rejoicing in sunny weather these past few weeks

and I figured that these AMAZINGLY beautiful flowers would remind – on those wintry days- of a summer warmth that a camera cannot capture.

Bring on our year of photography though – every month from now—- tune in!

July #2

Finally a July picture from me!

I think this little capture of last night’s double-rainbow is pretty representative of this July…it’s been a bit rainy, dreary, the last few days of term to get through….but at the same time there’s a beautiful ray of hope! A few days of sunshine and the promise of holidays round the corner remind me this really is Summer (albeit a British one).

A July photo to celebrate the end of our 30 day photo challenge!

I choose sunflowers to celebrate June and our fun 30 day photo bonanza! Sunflowers always manage to make me smile and are symbolic of the ray of sunshine this wee project with you girls has brought to me over the past month! Can’t wait for the next photographic adventure!

Finally the awards go to….

For Jo: i loved “B&W”….very self-referential, and it totally nods to Jo’s love of photography.

My favourite of Kirsty’s is self-portrait no.1. The very first photo, but so thoughtful and so, just, Kirsty!

And finally, my favourite of my own…just reminded me of a happy day, and i’m totally proud of the  perspective and vintage look to this picture.

What a fun month we’ve had!!

oohh…..

Here we go:

Rosie really caught my attention and caught a great shot with this fan. Good lighting, beautiful angle, relaxing to the eye and just lovely! It’s one I would put on my wall!

Then Jo’s number one

Love this pic, it feels still and peaceful as well as being a great angle

my number one?

I was ready for bed, waiting for the month to end and shot this one really quick. It was a nice end to the month and reminds me of possibilities….

For Kirsty’s I pick industrial Glasgow! the clouds are dramatic, the lights bouncing off the river and the dark sillhouettes of the cranes rising up into the sky is just impressive – also made me homesick for glasgow!

For Rosie’s I pick the angel! The comment was just hilarious and such a creative twist on ‘reverse’ and it’s a lovely statue, low angle, twilighty colours and its always a pleasure to know what an angel’s bum looks like!

For me I pick ‘hands’ – I love the black and white, i enjoyed posing of course and i really loved how it turned out!

In second place #3

Would love to pick more than one photo per entry at the moment!

But since I MUST choose, my second place votes go as follows:

This is classic – such an old-school, jolly sort of chap forms from pieces of fruit. The composition, lighting and twist on the title is all really fun. I think Jo lit this one so well!
Here’s to the pear shape!

Again, torn by too many choices for Rosie’s 2nd place. I love this pic because it’s incredibly hard to capture good smoke pics – also because the smoke rises in a heart formation – LOVE!

2nd place of my own? ->
